Lighting Contactors, Open
Cutler-Hammer lighting contactors are intended for use where efficient control is required of tungsten and ballast loads, as well as non-inductive loads without derating. These devices are typically used in places such as hospitals, office buildings, industrial plants, airports, stadiums, etc. They are designed to withstand the large inrush currents of tungsten lamp loads without causing contact welds. Our wide selection of mechanically, electrically, and magnetically held contactors provide a bright solution for every lighting application.
CN35 Electrically Held
Used in applications where it is not critical that contacts stay closed with loss of control power.
- The control power is applied continuously during operation.
- Simple to install
- Range 10 to 400 ampere
C30CN Electrically/Mechanically Held Contactor Perfect for critical applications, the C30CN with its revolutionary design, rugged construction and expansive feature set, is the bright solution for effectively controlling lighting loads. Its low magnetic noise makes it ideal for applications where quiet energy efficient operation is required. Available with a 2- or 3-wire electronic control module delivers reliable performance and protection for all lighting control needs.
- 2-12, 30A power poles
- Power poles latch easily onto the base, and designating them as NO or NC is a simple matter of left or right positioning.
- Additional poles, either NO or NC, may be easily added at any time.
- Low input VA permits long wire runs.
- Comes in a wide range of input voltages and with coils from 24 Vac to 277 Vac, and 12 Vdc to 24 Vdc.
A202 Magnetically/Mechanically Held
Used in applications where assurance is required that contactor will not switch to the off position during control power failure.
- Electrically energized and de-energized 30-200 ampere permanent magnet, 3000 and 400 ampere use a mechanical latch to hold the contacts closed during operation
- No continuous control current
- Range from 30 to 400 ampere
- Quiet operation (no coil hum)
